The edible oil fortification component of the Food Fortification is in its consolidation phase and working to institutionalize and sustain quality assurance and quality control mechanism for edible oil fortification after the programme life. Therefore, FFP developed a quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plan in consultation with government and miller for a phased handover of the internal and external quality assurance and testing regime to the millers and the government regulatory bodies in conjunction with the terms of the MoUs signed with millers, food authorities and the millers’ association. The Food Authorities of Punjab, Sindh and KP provinces indicated their concurrence of the plan and shown interest to continue the enforcement efforts for the edible oil fortification after FFP exit.
